In a significant move to transform marketing operations, Stagwell (NASDAQ: STGW), the challenger network, officially launched its Stagwell Media Platform (SMP) on July 9, 2025. This new centralized team comprises global media, technology, and data experts, designed to create a distinct client advantage by optimizing trading and investment product solutions across Stagwell’s extensive global network and media partners. The platform is powered by ‘agentic principles’ and aims to leverage Stagwell’s scale, technology, and partnerships to model, forecast, and optimize for increased efficiency and superior client outcomes.
Matt Adams, who currently serves as Global Chief Operating Officer at Assembly Global, will lead the SMP as its Global CEO. He will be joined by Marissa Jimenez, formerly EVP, Commercial at Dentsu US, who will assume the role of Global Chief Trading and Solutions Officer at SMP, effective July 14, 2025. Jimenez brings 20 years of industry experience to her new role, based in New York City and reporting to Adams. Mark Penn, Chairman and CEO of Stagwell, stated, “The Stagwell Media Platform is a big step forward in making the capabilities of our media and data investment solutions readily available for our partners and clients worldwide. Concurrently, the streaming TV industry witnessed a notable collaboration as Wurl, a leader in streaming TV, announced its partnership with Prime Video on July 8, 2025. This collaboration supports Prime Video’s expansion of its Live TV channel portfolio for Prime members in Germany. Wurl is facilitating the launch of Prime Video’s new Live TV Channel – named ‘Prime’ – in Germany, which will be dedicated to premium Prime Video entertainment content. This new channel will also feature daily event highlights for the Wimbledon tournament, bringing up-to-date moments to streaming audiences.
