LexisNexis Launches Personalized AI Assistant for Hong Kong Legal Professionals

LexisNexis® Legal & Professional, a global leader in AI-powered analytics and decision tools, officially announced the commercial availability of Lexis+ AI with Protégé in Hong Kong on July 30, 2025. This launch represents a significant advancement in legal technology for the Asia-Pacific region, with Hong Kong being the first market to receive this enhanced AI solution.

Lexis+ AI with Protégé functions as a personalized AI assistant, developed with input from leading legal AI innovators. It leverages AI agents and generative AI, grounded in LexisNexis’ proprietary Hong Kong content, to deliver next-level productivity and outcomes for legal and business professionals. The platform is built with stringent security, compliance, and privacy standards, and developed with human oversight. Its agentic AI capabilities allow Protégé to autonomously complete tasks based on user goals, including self-review and identifying areas for improvement in its output.

Enhanced Summarization and Question Answering: The system can ask questions of or summarize large, complex documents, handling up to 1 million characters (approximately 300 pages), which is a 250% increase over previous processing limits.

Generative Document Drafting: It guides users through the legal drafting process, generating initial drafts of legal documents and allowing for language and tone adjustments from simple prompts.
