Ironclad Unveils Advanced AI Agents to Transform Contracts into Dynamic Assets

TLDR: Ironclad, a leading AI contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform, has announced the early access launch of its next generation of AI technology. These new intelligent agents, including an Intake Agent, Redlining Agent, and Conversational Search, aim to convert static legal agreements into active, valuable business assets, enhancing efficiency and insight. The development follows the appointment of Sunita Verma as Chief Technology Officer, who brings extensive AI experience to accelerate Ironclad’s vision.

SAN FRANCISCO – November 13, 2025 – Ironclad, a pioneer in AI-powered contract lifecycle management (CLM), today announced the early access availability of its groundbreaking next generation of artificial intelligence technology. This strategic advancement is set to revolutionize how businesses interact with their legal agreements, transforming traditionally static contracts into dynamic, actionable assets through a sophisticated network of intelligent agents, assistants, and AI-enabled functionalities.

The announcement comes three months after the appointment of Sunita Verma, a veteran from Google with nearly two decades of experience in enterprise AI applications, as Ironclad’s Chief Technology Officer. Verma has been instrumental in accelerating the company’s AI vision, focusing on creating ‘agentic workflows’ that can reason, coordinate, and act, all built upon Ironclad’s secure, multi-model architecture.

“I’ve been working on AI – including enterprise applications of artificial intelligence – for nearly 20 years, and contracts are, hands down, one of the best use cases for AI in business,” stated Sunita Verma. “Contracts are packed with immensely valuable unstructured data. With assistive and agentic AI, we are turning that passive content into active assets for the business enabling them to take meaningful action at exactly the right moment.”

The latest product innovations, now available through an early access program, are designed to significantly accelerate contracting processes, provide instant information retrieval, and deliver actionable insights. Key new releases include:

Intake Agent: This agent automates the extraction of metadata from third-party contracts and assists users in accurately filling out launch forms, thereby streamlining contract intake and ensuring precision from the outset. This aims to eliminate tedious data entry and prevent costly errors.

Redlining Agent: Joining Ironclad’s existing family of agents that power Jurist, the company’s commercial legal AI assistant, the new Redlining Agent proposes redlines that are aligned with an organization’s specific playbooks, speeding up first-pass redlining and enhancing compliance.

Conversational Search: This feature allows users to query their contracts using natural language, providing instant answers to questions about information and insights typically buried within existing agreements.

Dan Springer, CEO of Ironclad, emphasized the company’s overarching philosophy: “Our philosophy is that AI will be everywhere our customers need it, whether in Jurist, our advanced legal assistant, or within our core CLM platform.” He added, “When we launched our first wave of agents, it was just the beginning – those early learnings have shaped the next wave of innovation for Ironclad. We’re excited to continue giving our customers the power to reduce manual work, provide better insights, and drive more impact.”
