This innovative approach allows AI agents to cryptographically verify the identity of entities they interact with, and vice versa, before any data exchange occurs. Furthermore, VCs ensure the authenticity and integrity of the data being shared, preventing unauthorized alterations.
A significant advantage of employing Verifiable Credentials in this context is the elimination of the need for real-time database lookups during authentication or authorization processes. Since VCs are digitally signed, the original issuer can be verified without direct contact, streamlining transactions and enhancing efficiency.
