IKS Health Unveils AI-Powered Scribble Suite on Epic Connection Hub

TLDR: IKS Health has launched its Scribble clinical documentation solutions within the Epic Connection Hub on Showroom. This integration leverages AI to streamline clinical note creation, enhance documentation accuracy, and generate audit-ready records directly within Epic’s EHR. Offering solutions like Scribble Now (generative AI for real-time documentation), Scribble Swift (generative AI + human scribes), and Scribble Pro (EHR-integrated notes), the suite aims to save clinicians up to 35 hours per month, reduce burnout, and includes features such as Spanish language support and specialty-specific templates.

DALLAS – IKS Health, a global leader in care enablement solutions, has officially launched its innovative Scribble clinical documentation solutions in the Epic Connection Hub on Showroom. This strategic integration aims to bolster clinical, administrative, and financial efficiencies throughout the patient journey by providing healthcare teams with advanced, streamlined technology.

Ben Crocker, MD, Senior Vice President of Care Design and Innovation at IKS Health, emphasized the significance of this milestone, stating, “Having our integration with Epic listed in Connection Hub marks an important milestone in our commitment to equipping care teams with advanced, streamlined technology solutions.” He further added, “We’re committed to building the most clinically intelligent solution in the industry, providing clinicians with streamlined tools for documentation.”

The IKS Scribble Suite is now fully compatible with Epic’s electronic health record software, offering clinicians multiple avenues to efficiently create precise clinical notes during patient encounters. A key benefit is the generation of audit-ready documentation, which is crucial for a unified revenue cycle management workflow.

The integration is designed to offer flexibility, allowing clinicians to select a version of Scribble that best suits their practice style, with the potential to reclaim up to 35 hours per month previously spent on documentation.

The Scribble Suite includes several distinct offerings:

Scribble Now: This solution provides real-time documentation powered by generative AI. It is designed to save clinicians 20-30 minutes per day in documentation, enabling them to complete accurate notes during patient encounters, thereby enhancing efficiency and reducing burnout.

Scribble Swift: Combining generative AI with human scribes, Scribble Swift delivers problem-based charting within one hour. This hybrid approach can save clinicians 30-60 minutes per day and has been shown to result in up to a 4% coding uptick.

Scribble Pro: This option offers EHR-integrated notes within four hours, providing 30-60 minutes of daily savings. It includes comprehensive reconciliation by clinician-scribes and E&M coding, which can lead to 17% higher revenues from coding uptick.

In addition to these core functionalities, the Scribble Suite now includes Spanish language support and specialty-specific templates, further enhancing its utility and accessibility for a diverse range of healthcare providers.

IKS Health highlights that Scribble strengthens the clinical accuracy, quality, and safety of clinical documentation across its portfolio of AI-enabled solutions. The platform is built with built-in safeguards to support responsible AI usage, operates on a HITRUST-aligned infrastructure, and adheres to rigorous HIPAA compliance standards, ensuring data security and privacy.
