Google Cloud Enhances Video Creation with General Availability of Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast on Vertex AI

TLDR: Google Cloud has officially launched Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast, its advanced AI video generation models, for general availability on Vertex AI. These tools enable enterprises to create high-quality videos from text prompts, with Veo 3 focusing on cinematic quality and Veo 3 Fast prioritizing speed for rapid content iteration. An image-to-video feature is also set to launch in August.

Google Cloud has announced the general availability of its cutting-edge AI video generation models, Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast, on the Vertex AI platform. This marks a significant step in making professional-quality video creation more accessible and efficient for businesses worldwide. The models, initially unveiled at Google I/O 2025 and in public preview since June, have already seen substantial adoption, with over 70 million videos generated globally, including more than 6 million by enterprise users on Vertex AI.

Veo 3 is designed for high-fidelity video creation, producing 1080p visuals with native audio, including accurate lip-syncing and sound effects. It excels in generating cinematic-quality content with detailed motion physics and smooth scene transitions, making it ideal for professional marketing campaigns, product demonstrations, and internal communications. A key feature of Veo 3 is its native dialogue generation, which allows businesses to create a video once and localize the dialogue for dozens of languages, facilitating global outreach.

Complementing Veo 3 is Veo 3 Fast, a new model specifically engineered for speed and rapid iteration. While it may trade some cinematic polish for quicker turnaround, Veo 3 Fast is perfectly suited for tasks requiring rapid content creation, such as quickly generating and testing variations of ad concepts, creating video demonstrations of product catalogs from still images, or producing animated explainers and training modules in less time. Google emphasizes that Veo 3 Fast strikes an “ideal balance between processing time and high-quality visual output.”

Both Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast allow users to create videos from text prompts, and a highly anticipated image-to-video feature is slated for public preview in August. This upcoming capability will enable users to animate a single image into an 8-second video clip by simply uploading the image and providing a short text prompt. This feature is expected to be particularly useful for marketers and creators looking to quickly animate still visuals.

Several global businesses have already integrated Veo 3 into their workflows. Canva is leveraging the technology to allow users to create videos directly within its platform using AI tools. Creative agency BarkleyOKRP is utilizing Veo 3 to enhance video sync quality and accelerate production. eToro successfully created 15 versions of its advertisements in local languages using the tool, while Razorfish combined Veo with other Google tools to produce near-cinematic content for Visit Orlando. Synthesia is also pairing Veo visuals with its AI avatars and voices for custom storytelling.

Google has also implemented measures to ensure responsible AI usage. All videos generated using Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast come with SynthID watermarks to help prevent misuse and misinformation. Furthermore, Google Cloud offers legal indemnity for enterprise customers utilizing its generative AI services. The models are now live on Vertex AI Media Studio, with pricing structured at $0.75/second for Veo 3 with audio ($0.50/second without) and $0.40/second for Veo 3 Fast with audio ($0.25/second without).
