Gold Coast, Australia – Zeligate, an innovative artificial intelligence startup focused on transforming workplace productivity, has announced the successful completion of a $500,000 Seed funding round. The investment comes from DNX Ventures, a California-based B2B early-stage venture capital firm with an office in Tokyo and an Australian principal, marking its inaugural investment in the Australian market.
Founded in 2023 by CEO Denver Naidoo, Zeligate specializes in developing AI tools designed to ‘manage the mundane’ aspects of work. The company’s solutions enable organizations to automate entire processes, rather than just isolated tasks, significantly enhancing productivity across various business functions. Zeligate’s AI workforce, dubbed ‘Zelis,’ aims to free up human employees to concentrate on critical thinking, communication, and innovation.
The newly secured Seed funding is earmarked to accelerate product expansion, intensify marketing initiatives, and bolster sales activities nationwide. A key focus will be increasing awareness and adoption of its flagship AI product, the ‘Hiring Co-worker.’ The company plans to pursue a Series A funding round within the next 12 months, targeting the end of 2026.
Denver Naidoo, CEO of Zeligate, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “DNX’s decision to make us its first Australian investment is a testament to the hard work of our team and the massive potential of our AI workforce, which we call Zelis.” Naidoo added, “This new funding will allow us to scale our operations, expand our team of AI assistants, and demonstrate how easily organisations can delegate routine tasks to live avatars to unlock human creativity and strategic focus.” The company recently relocated its operations from Brisbane to the Gold Coast earlier this year.

Yurika Imuta, DNX Ventures’ Australian-based principal, highlighted Zeligate’s potential to revolutionize recruitment. “We were particularly impressed by the company’s AI technology, especially the quality of its AI-driven interview experience,” Imuta commented. She further noted, “Denver’s deep expertise in AI has enabled the team to build a truly multimodal, AI-native SaaS product, with a voice-based interview platform that stands out in a field known for its technical challenges.” Imuta believes Zeligate can address the complexities and imperfections of traditional recruitment processes, offering a more dynamic and inclusive way to evaluate talent and provide fairer opportunities for candidates.
