Godavari Region’s Inaugural AI Summit Garners National Recognition, Boosts DeepTech Ecosystem

TLDR: The Godavari region successfully hosted ‘AI Fusion 25’, its first-ever AI Summit on October 24, 2025, attracting over 1000 attendees. Organized by the DeepTech Naipunya Foundation and AP Digital Technology Industry Network, the summit was recognized by the India AI Mission as a pre-summit event for the India-AI Impact Summit 2026. It highlighted the region’s growing importance in AI, especially following Google’s USD 15 billion investment for an AI data center in Visakhapatnam.

The Godavari region marked a significant milestone in its technological advancement by successfully hosting ‘AI Fusion 25’, its inaugural Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summit, on Friday, October 24, 2025. This landmark event, held in Kakinada, drew an impressive attendance of over 1000 participants, including IT professionals, CXOs, students, startups, and academicians, underscoring the burgeoning interest and potential in AI within the region.

The summit was meticulously organized by the DeepTech Naipunya Foundation (DTNF) and the AP Digital Technology Industry Network (APDTI Network), both dedicated to cultivating a vibrant deep-tech ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh.

A key highlight of ‘AI Fusion 25’ was its official recognition by the India AI Mission, a flagship initiative of the Government of India. This recognition positions the Kakinada summit as a crucial pre-summit event leading up to the prestigious India-AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled to take place in New Delhi next February.

The timing of the summit holds particular significance, coming on the heels of Google’s historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh Government. This agreement outlines Google’s plan to establish an AI data center hub in Visakhapatnam, backed by a substantial investment of USD 15 billion, further cementing the region’s strategic importance in the global AI landscape.

The agenda of ‘AI Fusion 25’ was comprehensive, featuring keynotes, panel discussions, and fireside chats with interactive Q&A sessions. Topics covered a wide spectrum of AI advancements, including agentic AI, generative AI, the future of work with AI, edge AI, robotics, and AI applications for startups.

The summit was inaugurated by CSRK Prasad, Vice Chancellor of JNTU, who emphasized AI’s increasing role in enhancing daily life and improving delivery mechanisms. Anand Govindaluri, CEO of Govin Capital and a venture capitalist with roots in Kakinada, delivered a compelling keynote address titled ‘AI as the Next Industrial Revolution: Shaping the Future of Business, Society & Innovation,’ reiterating his commitment to fostering Andhra Pradesh’s AI ecosystem.
