BURLINGTON, Mass. – August 19, 2025 – ETQ, a division of Hexagon, today announced its significant achievement of being shortlisted for the prestigious 2025 A.I. Awards program. The company has been recognized in the highly competitive ‘Best Use of AI in Manufacturing’ category for its innovative ETQ Reliance® Predictive Quality Analytics (PQA) solution. This marks a notable validation of AI’s growing role in ensuring manufacturing product quality.

The ETQ Reliance PQA solution, developed through a strategic partnership with AI innovator Acerta, is an advanced, AI-driven system designed to revolutionize quality control on the shop floor. It utilizes machine learning to meticulously analyze vast amounts of manufacturing data, enabling the automated, early detection of potential defects and proactive resolution of quality issues. This capability is crucial for preventing manufacturing problems, minimizing production variation, accelerating decision-making processes, and delivering prescriptive solutions to complex supply chain challenges, ultimately boosting overall delivered quality.

Vick Vaishnavi, CEO of ETQ, emphasized the solution’s impact, stating, “Today’s manufacturers worry about the performance of their plants, how to ensure operational efficiency, meet compliance requirements and manage risk. Thanks to our partnership with AI innovator Acerta, the ETQ Reliance PQA solution addresses these challenges, leveraging machine learning to help identify production problems sooner and resolve them faster.” He added, “We’re honored to be shortlisted for the 2025 A.I. The AI-driven capability of the PQA solution directly addresses the escalating problem of product defects and costly recalls. By identifying patterns and anomalies in manufacturing data, it helps manufacturers improve operational efficiency, ensure compliance, and effectively manage risk. This recognition aligns with broader industry trends, as AI is increasingly seen as a critical tool for addressing challenges such as worker shortages, environmental health & safety (EHS) mandates, and product recalls. Deloitte, for instance, predicts that 25% of enterprises utilizing Generative AI are expected to deploy AI agents in 2025, a figure projected to rise to 50% by 2027, highlighting the shift towards more autonomous AI systems in various business functions, including quality management.
