Druva Unveils Pioneering AI Agents to Revolutionize Cyber Resilience

TLDR: Druva has introduced its new DruAI Agents, marking a significant advancement in cyber resilience by leveraging agentic AI to automate complex data security tasks, enhance threat response, and simplify data management for enterprises. Built on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore on AWS, these intelligent agents move beyond traditional query-based AI to proactive, action-oriented systems.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Druva, a prominent provider of data security solutions, today announced a significant expansion of its DruAI suite with the introduction of what it claims are the industry’s first AI agents designed to simplify and enhance cyber resilience. This strategic move aims to fundamentally transform how organizations secure, recover, and manage their critical data, shifting from reactive measures to proactive, autonomous operations.

The newly launched DruAI Agents are intelligent systems capable of interpreting user intent, analyzing vast amounts of data, and taking decisive action. This represents a crucial evolution beyond conventional, query-based AI, moving towards ‘agentic systems designed for action.’ The technology is built on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore on Amazon Web Services (AWS), underscoring a robust cloud-native foundation for these advanced capabilities.

Jaspreet Singh, CEO and co-founder of Druva, articulated the company’s vision, stating, “At Druva, our vision is that AI will not only assist users, but also execute complex tasks, respond to threats in real-time, and deliver a dynamic user interface personalized to users’ needs.” He emphasized that this announcement is a significant leap in that direction, asserting that ‘Agentic AI will completely transform how users interact with their software, and we’re embedding that functionality directly into our platform at no added cost to the customer.’ Singh further highlighted Druva’s commitment to leveraging AI to ‘significantly simplify data security’ and help customers ‘stay ahead of constantly evolving cyber threats.’

Rich Geraffo, Vice President & Managing Director, AWS North America, commended Druva’s innovation, noting, ‘Leveraging Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, DruAI now incorporates autonomous agents that can proactively secure, recover and manage customer data. This is a powerful example of how AWS enables partners to advance new data security capabilities for customers.’

The DruAI Agents are designed to enhance cyber resilience with increased speed, simplicity, and confidence. Specific agent types include:

Data Agents: These agents are engineered to identify critical signals and trends from telemetry, risk indicators, and historical patterns.

Help Agents: Focused on user assistance, these agents troubleshoot issues, investigate incidents, and suggest actionable next steps.

Action Agents: These specialized agents can directly execute tasks, automating manual steps in traditional workflows.

Since its initial introduction, DruAI has already seen significant adoption, with over 3,000 customers and 10,000 users engaging in more than 11,000 AI-powered conversations across various workflows, including recovery, configuration, and support. The company reports impressive results, including the resolution of 63% of customer issues without human intervention, a 58% acceleration in human-assisted support cases through telemetry-based context, and a remarkable 0% hallucination rate due to stringent data integrity controls.

Looking ahead, Druva has ambitious plans for DruAI’s evolution over the next 12 months. The company aims to reduce the average time-to-resolution for cyber investigations by up to 70%, enable up to 90% of routine data protection tasks through natural language interactions, and shorten backup troubleshooting time from hours to mere minutes.
