CEO Joseph Kim emphasized the platform’s focus on accuracy, security, and compliance for enterprise AI deployment.
New York City – Druid AI, a leading artificial intelligence company, recently unveiled its innovative ‘Build Your Own Agent’ model at its Symbiosis conference, marking a significant step towards widespread enterprise AI adoption. The software platform is engineered to empower individuals across various departments and industries, regardless of their technical skill level, to customize and deploy their own AI agents.
Joseph Kim, CEO of Druid AI and former CEO of Sumo Logic, highlighted the company’s strategic focus on delivering highly accurate AI outputs while meticulously managing security and compliance, particularly in heavily regulated sectors such as higher education, financial services, and healthcare. Kim stated, “In order for you to build your own [agents], that last mile for every company is very different. Once you have to deploy AI into production for any enterprise, accuracy becomes really important.”
The Druid AI platform provides a comprehensive suite of tools to facilitate the creation of sophisticated enterprise agents. This includes a conversational development tool, a data architect for structured data management, a tester to ensure agent reliability, and a business analyst for financial projections and internal factor analysis. Dan Balaceanu, Chief Product Officer, elaborated on the platform’s complementary role within existing enterprise ecosystems: “It’s not a replacement, I’m not changing my core system, not changing the health care application, CRM, or BI, [but rather] complementing them to make them agentic, and we do this with all the requirements.” He added, “We are mirroring the humans building applications with AI agents.”
Druid AI has demonstrated impressive growth metrics. Following Kim’s appointment in September, the company reported serving 2.5 million users who have collectively built more than 10,000 Druid AI agents. This rapid expansion led to Druid AI being recognized as a Challenger in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Conversational AI Platforms. Financially, the company secured $31 million in Series C funding, with Cipio Partners leading the round and participation from TQ Ventures, Karma Ventures, Smedvig, and Hoxton Ventures. Furthermore, Druid AI achieved a remarkable 2.7-times growth in annual recurring revenue in 2024.
