Dayforce, Inc. (NYSE: DAY; TSX: DAY), a prominent global leader in human capital management (HCM) technology, today unveiled the establishment of its AI Ethics Council. This strategic move underscores Dayforce’s commitment to fostering responsible AI innovation and addressing the profound societal implications of artificial intelligence. The council, comprising five distinguished external experts, will serve as an independent advisory body, offering critical guidance on the ethical development and deployment of Dayforce’s AI-powered solutions.
David Lloyd, Chief AI Officer at Dayforce, emphasized the dual nature of AI, stating, “AI presents extraordinary opportunities and profound responsibilities. At Dayforce, we believe AI should not only accelerate innovation but also safeguard fairness, transparency, and trust.” He further elaborated on the council’s role: “By engaging leading experts from academia, civil society, and the private sector, our AI Ethics Council will help us anticipate challenges, integrate diverse perspectives, and shape AI solutions that serve the greater good.”
The newly formed council is tasked with providing candid advice on a comprehensive range of issues. These include critical areas such as privacy, compliance, governance, worker rights, algorithmic discrimination and bias, and other broader societal impacts. The members will meticulously review the company’s approaches, offering perspectives and recommendations aimed at strengthening ethical AI practices and innovation strategies within Dayforce.

Nicol Turner Lee, Ph.D. – AI Governance Expert and Author
Greg Vert – Principal, Human Capital Applied AI Leader, Deloitte
The council will be co-chaired internally by Dayforce’s Chief AI Officer, David Lloyd, and Jason Rahlan, Global Head of Sustainability and Impact.
