DataBahn.ai Introduces Smart Agent for Unified Security and Observability Telemetry

TLDR: DataBahn.ai has launched its new Smart Agent, designed to unify security and observability telemetry for enterprises. This innovative agent aims to reduce agent sprawl, improve data visibility, and streamline data pipelines by offering a hybrid deployment model that combines agent-based and agentless collection methods. The Smart Agent is built to replace multiple tool-specific agents, enhancing performance and operational efficiency across various enterprise functions.

LAS VEGAS, Black Hat USA 2025 – DataBahn.ai, a leading developer of next-generation, security-first data pipeline platforms, announced today the release of its Smart Agent for endpoint telemetry collection. This new offering is set to revolutionize how enterprises manage their security and observability data by providing a unified, cross-functional approach to data collection, processing, and routing.

The Smart Agent addresses a critical challenge faced by modern enterprises: ‘agent sprawl,’ which leads to rising compute costs and fragmented visibility. Aditya Sundararam, Chief Product Officer at DataBahn.ai, stated, ‘Smart Agent reimagines data collection by combining the best of agent-based and agentless approaches into a single, flexible footprint. It delivers real-time telemetry control, simplifies deployment, and empowers security and observability teams with faster insights, fewer blind spots and seamless cross-team collaboration.’

Unlike traditional endpoint agents that are often tied to a specific vendor or platform, DataBahn.ai’s Smart Agent offers remarkable flexibility. It supports selective log collection, high-performance environments, and seamless integration with a wide array of downstream tools. The agent is engineered to replace overlapping agents used by security operations centers, IT teams, and data engineers, thereby improving overall performance and streamlining operations across diverse enterprise infrastructures.

A key innovation is the highly flexible deployment model. Customers can opt for a lightweight endpoint agent on critical systems or utilize DataBahn’s ‘phantom collector’ for agentless collection in environments where agent installation is impractical. A hybrid setup is also supported, enabling centralized data collection with a minimal endpoint footprint.

DataBahn.ai emphasizes that by decoupling data collection from downstream analytics platforms, the Smart Agent empowers enterprises with greater control over how telemetry is captured, enriched, and distributed, without forcing them into proprietary ecosystems. Sundararam added, ‘While others market ‘unified agents’ that tie you to a single stack, we built ours to work across the diverse, multi-platform ecosystems that real-world teams operate in. It’s about giving customers the flexibility, control and the future readiness that they actually need.’
