CloudMile Secures $20 Million to Propel AI Expansion Across Southeast Asia

TLDR: Taiwan-based AI solutions firm CloudMile has successfully raised US$20 million in strategic funding, led by NEXUS CVC and TFB Capital. This capital infusion is earmarked to accelerate the deployment and development of its artificial intelligence technologies and solutions across the rapidly growing Southeast Asian market, with a strong focus on industry-specific applications and enhanced R&D.

CloudMile, a prominent Taiwan-based artificial intelligence (AI) solutions provider, has announced a significant strategic funding round, securing US$20 million to fuel its ambitious expansion plans across Southeast Asia. The investment was spearheaded by NEXUS CVC, a venture capital and private equity firm deeply embedded in Taiwan’s high-tech ecosystem, with additional participation from TFB Capital, the venture arm of Taipei Fubon Bank Finance Holding, one of Taiwan’s leading financial groups.

The newly acquired capital is strategically allocated to bolster CloudMile’s research and development (R&D) capabilities and accelerate the deployment of its AI technologies throughout the Southeast Asian region. The company plans to concentrate its efforts on three pivotal areas of AI innovation: AI agent applications tailored for various industries, security-driven AI development, and AI-powered cloud financial optimization, leveraging its proprietary platform, LumiTure.ai.

CloudMile’s expansion strategy targets key sectors including high tech, semiconductors, electronics manufacturing, finance, retail, and education. The LumiTure.ai platform is already actively utilized across finance, healthcare, technology, and education sectors in Southeast Asia, demonstrating the company’s existing footprint and impact.

Spencer Liu, Founder and Chairman of CloudMile Group, emphasized the company’s commitment, stating, “CloudMile will continue to advance AI Agent–driven solutions to meet the burgeoning market demand in Southeast Asia. Our mission is to be the key driving force that empowers enterprises to harness AI effectively, helping organizations across Southeast Asia turn their AI vision into real business value.”

PC Chen, Managing Partner & CEO of NEXUS CVC, highlighted the strategic importance of CloudMile’s offerings: “NEXUS CVC views cloud services as a critical foundation for enabling AI and cybersecurity applications. CloudMile’s proven track record in Taiwan, Singapore, and multiple Southeast Asian markets, combined with its Hybrid Cloud and Hybrid AI expertise, makes it a key player in driving the convergence of cloud, AI, and cybersecurity.”

CloudMile has demonstrated robust growth in the region, reporting a doubling of its annual revenue in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines over the past two years. The company maintains dual headquarters in Singapore and Taiwan, supported by local R&D centers and engineering teams. Further solidifying its regional presence, CloudMile recently inaugurated an AI Centre of Excellence in Malaysia.

These expansion efforts are also supported by strategic partnerships with key governmental and industry bodies, including Singapore’s Economic Development Board (EDB) and Malaysia’s Cradle, which are instrumental in fostering innovation and digital growth in the region.

While CloudMile is a Google Cloud Premier Partner and Managed Service Provider, specializing in machine learning, data analytics, cloud migration, and security services, its revenue model primarily relies on cloud resale margins and professional services rather than proprietary AI software. This positioning as a systems integrator, assembling products from various vendors, differentiates it from independent AI software vendors.
