This strategic embrace of AI aims to boost productivity, enhance operational efficiency, and drive innovation, marking what could be described as an “AI revolution” within the company.
One of the key AI initiatives is the implementation of “Clarita,” an AI assistant designed to revolutionize Clariant’s integrated reporting processes. Launched in April 2025, Clarita is built on Anthropic’s AI Claude and operates within Clariant’s secure cloud infrastructure. Her primary role is to improve the quality of integrated reports while freeing up valuable human resources for more strategic tasks. Clarita can perform advanced features such as cross-report analysis to identify redundancies and inconsistencies, conduct text checks against corporate style guides, and even simulate roles like auditors or business executives to provide critical feedback. Notably, Clarita has already demonstrated her capability in crafting concise product stories that effectively highlight Clariant’s sustainable innovations.
Beyond reporting, Clariant has also established a robust generative AI foundation to enhance overall productivity. Collaborating with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and AWS Partner Chaos Gears, Clariant’s internal cloud architecture and engineering team rapidly developed and rolled out a prototype Generative AI platform to users across the business in less than three months following the public launch of ChatGPT in late 2022.
