Celero Ventures Invests in BTON to Fuel AI-Powered Expansion

TLDR: Celero Ventures, a London- and Jersey-based venture capital firm specializing in AI, infrastructure, and enterprise software, has made a strategic, undisclosed investment in BTON. BTON, a collaborative data and decision-assistance company, will leverage this funding to accelerate its U.S. expansion and develop new AI-powered solutions aimed at enhancing execution quality within the industry.

Celero Ventures, a prominent venture capital firm operating out of London and Jersey, has announced a strategic, undisclosed investment in BTON, a company focused on collaborative data and decision-assistance. The investment, made on August 26, 2025, underscores Celero Ventures’ commitment to fostering innovation in the AI, infrastructure, and enterprise software sectors across Europe and the U.S.

Founded by former executives from industry giants MuleSoft and Databricks, Celero Ventures is recognized for its deep expertise in AI, data infrastructure, and enterprise software. The firm emphasizes an operator-first approach, providing not just capital but also hands-on go-to-market (GTM) expertise to its portfolio companies.

Dan Shepherd, CEO of BTON, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Celero brings both capital and hands-on GTM (go to market) expertise to companies like BTON.” He further elaborated on the value of their new partner: “They’re a very dynamic venture capital firm with deep roots in AI, data infrastructure, and enterprise software and experienced operators of global scale, coming from backgrounds at MuleSoft and Databricks.” Shepherd highlighted that Celero Ventures acts as a true partner, not merely a financial backer, in assisting BTON to scale its operations, particularly in the U.S. market. “They definitely aren’t just capital, they’re really partners in assisting the business to scale into the US. So we’re really excited to be working with them,” he added.

BTON, known for delivering an API-first intelligence layer that connects trading, has already tailored its solutions for the U.S. market. According to Shepherd, “Our solutions are already tailored to the US market. The US is the capital market to a very very large degree. So we have always kept that in mind when building BTON.” The newly secured funding is expected to significantly accelerate BTON’s expansion efforts in the United States and support the development of advanced AI-powered solutions designed to improve execution quality across the financial industry.
