TLDR: Caseflood, a Y Combinator-backed startup, has successfully raised $3.2 million in funding to further develop its AI-powered voice agent technology. This investment aims to enhance the capabilities and expand the application of their voice agents, particularly within the legal field, focusing on client intake and other phone interactions.
Caseflood, a California-based startup specializing in generative AI voice agents for client intake and phone interactions, has announced a $3.2 million investment round. The funding was secured from a diverse group of investors, including Y Combinator, Acquisition.com, Rebel Fund, Four Cities Capital, Elevation Capital, Amino Capital, Valia Ventures, Pioneer Fund, and prominent angel investors such as Kulveer Taggar, Will Drevno, Ben Bryant, and members of the German Royal family, the Sayn-Wittgensteins. Alex Hormozi, co-founder of ACQ Ventures, highlighted the growing need for AI tools in small service businesses like law firms to drive growth and operational efficiency, stating that their investment in Caseflood aligns with this thesis.
The capital infusion will be primarily allocated to research and supporting Caseflood’s engineering team, with the strategic goal of ‘pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with voice agents.’ The company’s 24/7 voice agent, Luna, is equipped with a broad range of autonomous skills, including outbound calling, SMS follow-ups, paid consultation bookings, general reception duties, and lead referrals, all designed to boost revenue for law firms. This technology is particularly well-suited for Small Law and MidLaw firms, though it could also benefit specific departments within larger firms, such as those handling class actions.

Caseflood reports impressive results from their existing partnerships with smaller law firms, noting that Luna’s conversations average 13 minutes in length and achieve a 30% higher conversion rate than human agents. The company emphasizes the challenging nature of applying voice AI in the legal sector, where callers are often experiencing traumatic situations and seeking urgent assistance. Ethan Hilton, co-founder and CEO of Caseflood, confirmed the company’s adherence to SOC2 and HIPAA compliance standards. He stated, ‘Our AI agents have been tuned to handle 30+ minute long conversations. We have one of the best voice agent teams in Silicon Valley – with voice research backgrounds from Apple, Berkeley, Microsoft, and more.’ For personal injury firms, Caseflood’s AI handles the initial 80% of the call, qualifying clients and informing them of potential solutions, before transitioning to in-house closers.
