BluWave-ai Recognized for AI-Driven Grid Management Excellence with Prestigious Energy Storage Canada Award

TLDR: BluWave-ai, a leader in AI-enabled cleantech, has been awarded the 2025 Grid Management Storage Award by Energy Storage Canada (ESC). The recognition highlights the company’s advanced AI software optimization across electric vehicles, batteries, and renewable generation, particularly for its EV Everywhereâ„¢ project with IESO and Hydro Ottawa, which transforms EV fleets into critical energy storage assets.

OTTAWA, ONTARIO – October 14, 2025 – BluWave-ai, a pioneering company in artificial intelligence for clean energy, has been honored with the coveted 2025 Grid Management Storage Award from Energy Storage Canada (ESC). This significant accolade, announced on October 14, 2025, underscores BluWave-ai’s leadership in leveraging AI software to optimize electric vehicles (EVs), batteries, and renewable energy generation for a modernized electric grid.

The award was formally presented at ESC’s 10th annual conference in Toronto on September 25, 2025. It specifically recognized BluWave-ai’s groundbreaking EV Everywhereâ„¢ project, a collaborative effort with the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) and Hydro Ottawa. This project is lauded for its innovative application of AI to integrate rapidly expanding EV fleets into the grid as crucial, managed energy storage assets. The system intelligently makes real-time decisions to optimize EV charging based on factors such as energy cost, emissions, and grid stress, thereby enhancing grid stability and efficiency.

Devashish Paul, CEO and Founder of BluWave-ai, expressed his pride in the achievement, stating, “This award validates our strategy of applying advanced AI, secured by a growing patent portfolio and massive data scale, to every part of the global energy transition.” He further emphasized the company’s mission: “Our technology is designed to make renewable energy more reliable and electric transportation more efficient.” Paul highlighted the immense potential of EVs, projecting that they could collectively reach 4-5 gigawatts (GW) of storage capacity across Canada, an equivalent to 17 small modular nuclear reactors.

BluWave-ai’s technology stack is built on a robust foundation of intellectual property, boasting 49 patent applications filed globally, with 11 patents already granted. The company’s comprehensive data platform, BluWave-ai Atlas, is central to its success, housing over 20 billion AI pre-processed records for electricity, transport, and weather data worldwide. This extensive data underpins highly accurate optimization models, enabling the company to deliver on the promise of smart grid modernization.
