Philomin currently serves as the Executive Vice President, Data and AI at Siemens, and previously held the role of Vice President & General Manager, Generative AI for Amazon. This appointment, effective September 9, 2025, is poised to accelerate Blackline’s artificial intelligence initiatives and unlock the full potential of its real-time safety and productivity data.
Philomin is recognized as a leading voice in the adoption of enterprise AI across diverse industries. He also played a pivotal role in AWS’s generative AI and product strategy, including the development and deployment of foundation models via Bedrock. Prior to his time at Amazon, Philomin pioneered connected lighting solutions at Philips, impacting municipalities and iconic global landmarks such as the Empire State Building and the Bay Bridge. He holds over 100 U.S. patents and possesses a Ph.D. in Computer Science, along with dual Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Maryland.
