BELAGAVI: The Belagavi Technologies Companies Association (BeTCA) hosted its 4th annual Belagavi Tech Meet 2025 on Saturday evening, August 30, 2025, under the compelling theme of “Tech for Human Impact.” The event served as a platform to underscore the growing role of tier-2 cities like Belagavi as vibrant innovation hubs, developing technologies with both local and global significance.
A highlight of the meet was the unveiling of BeTCA’s flagship AI initiative, ‘BeTCA Assist.’ This innovative AI chatbot is designed to streamline the process for citizens seeking to connect with IT services companies in Belagavi, offering consultation and solutions.
Beyond the AI chatbot, BeTCA also introduced three other member-driven innovations that promise to make a substantial impact:
1. KabadiMan: A pioneering door-to-door recycling service that not only promotes environmental sustainability but also rewards customers for their participation.
2. Hoopoe Electric: An urban electric bike, notable for being entirely designed and manufactured within Belagavi, showcasing local engineering prowess.
3. Zen AI: An AI-powered platform specifically developed to simplify and enhance digital advertising and marketing strategies.
The event also featured two insightful panel discussions. The first, titled “Inventing the Future: How Founders Are Building Life-Changing DeepTech Products,” included valuable perspectives from Kawal Arora, Founder of Desi LLM, and Akash Kulgod, Founder of Dognosis. The second panel, “From Tier-2 to Global: Shared Learnings of Corporate Leaders and Entrepreneurs,” brought together industry stalwarts such as Leena Padihari (Proprietor & CFO, Alfanzyme Life Science), Shekhar Gaonkar (Founder & CEO, PetCart), and Allahbaksh (Centre Head, Infosys Hubli; Associate VP, Infosys).
