Hyderabad, August 30, 2025 – The burgeoning field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its profound ethical implications took center stage at a significant discussion titled ‘Human at Core: AI, Ethics, and the Future,’ held at Tech Mahindra, Cyberabad. Hosted by The Dr. Pritam Singh Foundation in collaboration with IILM University, the event served as a tribute to the late academician, Dr. Pritam Singh.
Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, who inaugurated the discussion, delivered a stark warning regarding the ethical pitfalls of AI. He specifically highlighted critical concerns such as algorithmic bias, the escalating threats to data privacy, and the potential for widespread job displacement due to AI integration. Kumar underscored the imperative for proactive measures, advocating for large-scale reskilling initiatives to prepare the workforce for the evolving landscape. He further stressed that India must play a pivotal role in shaping AI technologies to align with its core values of fairness, transparency, and inclusivity. In a direct appeal to corporate leaders, he urged the establishment of strong governance frameworks, meticulous auditing of algorithms for inherent biases, and a commitment to the responsible adoption of AI across industries.
Echoing these sentiments, K. Padmanabhaiah, Chairman of the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), delivered the keynote address. He articulated India’s unique opportunity to harness AI for inclusive growth, citing its potential to revolutionize sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, education, and fintech. Padmanabhaiah’s address emphasized the critical need to ensure that AI technology remains fundamentally human-centric and trustworthy as it continues its rapid advancement.
