This initiative is set to significantly reduce cart abandonment rates by tackling one of the biggest hurdles in home improvement projects: choosing the right paint color.
According to a third-party study conducted by Behr, over 40% of consumers find the color selection process to be the most challenging step in their paint projects. Furthermore, an equal percentage, 40%, report that their inability to make a color decision prevents them from starting projects altogether. This widespread indecision often translates into abandoned online shopping carts and delayed purchases, representing a substantial loss for retailers.
To mitigate this friction, Behr collaborated with Google Cloud to develop ChatHUE™. This intelligent agent leverages Behr’s extensive proprietary color data combined with Google Cloud’s robust AI capabilities, including Google Cloud with Gemini, Vertex AI, BigQuery, and Cloud Run. The goal is to provide homeowners with a seamless and personalized guide to finding their perfect hue, empowering them to make confident color decisions.
