TLDR: Baidu AI Cloud has introduced its groundbreaking next-generation digital human technology, NOVA, at the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC). NOVA boasts significant advancements, including script generation via WENXIN Large Model 4.5, real-time autonomous decision-making, and rapid replication capabilities from minimal human samples. This innovation is poised to be publicly available in October, marking a significant step in AI-powered virtual employees.
At the prestigious 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), Baidu AI Cloud made a significant announcement with the debut of its cutting-edge digital human technology, named NOVA. This new generation of AI-powered digital humans represents a leap forward in virtual assistant capabilities, with a public launch anticipated in October.
NOVA distinguishes itself through three core technological breakthroughs. Firstly, it leverages the advanced WENXIN Large Model 4.5, enabling it to generate high-quality scripts and facilitate sophisticated multimodal collaboration. This integration allows for more natural and coherent interactions from the digital entities. Secondly, NOVA is equipped with an intelligent AI brain capable of processing live broadcast data in real-time and making autonomous decisions, enhancing its responsiveness and adaptability in dynamic environments. Lastly, the technology features an exceptionally efficient replication capability, allowing for the complete replication of a person’s voice, emotions, and actions with as little as 10 minutes of real-person sample data, drastically reducing the time and resources traditionally required for creating digital avatars.
