Authenticity Over AI: Indian B2B Marketing Leaders Prioritize Real Voices Amid Content Flood

TLDR: A new LinkedIn report reveals that 84% of B2B marketing leaders in India believe authentic human voices are crucial as AI-generated content proliferates online. The study highlights a generational shift in B2B buying, with Millennials and Gen Z prioritizing trusted insights from peers and creators over brand-centric information. Marketers are increasing investment in community-driven content and conversational strategies to build trust and cut through the digital noise.

New Delhi, Delhi, August 26, 2025 – In an era where Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming content creation, a significant majority of B2B marketing leaders in India are emphasizing the irreplaceable value of authentic human voices. New research from LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional network, indicates that 84% of Indian B2B marketing leaders believe that as AI floods the internet with content, prioritizing real voices is more important than ever.

The study, titled ‘Global B2B Marketing Outlook’, conducted by Censuswide between July 3-15, 2025, surveyed 7,000 B2B marketers across various countries, including India. Complementary research, ‘Global Professionals Sentiment’, surveyed 19,268 professionals globally from July 4-7, 2025, to gauge audience perspectives.

The Rise of Trusted Networks and Generational Shifts

The findings highlight a crucial shift in how B2B audiences vet brands. Instead of solely relying on company channels, 82% of Indian B2B marketing leaders observe that audiences increasingly turn to their professional networks for clarity and trusted insights that technology alone cannot provide. This trend is evident on LinkedIn, where posts have seen a 41% increase over the past three years, reflecting a growing search for guidance from peers.

This shift is further driven by new generations of decision-makers. Millennials and Gen Z now constitute 71% of B2B buyers. These younger buyers seek not just information but also insights from people they trust to inform their decisions. A striking 83% of 18-24 year olds in India assert that even with advanced AI, human intuition and insights from trusted colleagues remain indispensable.

Strategic Investments in Authenticity and Conversation

In response to these evolving expectations, B2B marketers are recalibrating their strategies. Nearly 86% of those surveyed are increasing their investment in community-driven content, actively engaging creators, employees, and subject matter experts to foster trust. Furthermore, 87% acknowledge that trusted creators are now essential for establishing credibility with younger buyers.

Brands are also recognizing the power of conversation. An impressive 88% of marketing leaders believe their most effective brand moments stem from sparking dialogues rather than merely disseminating content. LinkedIn is facilitating this through initiatives like ‘BrandLink’, an evolution of its ‘Wire Program’. BrandLink aims to enhance brand recall by placing advertisements alongside contextually relevant editorial content from trusted publishers and top creators. It is expanding globally, with partners like BBC Studios, BNR, TED, The Economist, and Vox Media joining the program.

LinkedIn has also launched new ‘Shows by LinkedIn’ in collaboration with major brands. For instance, AT&T Business presents ‘Small Business Builders’, IBM presents ‘Founder’s Blueprint’, SAP presents ‘AI in Action’, and ServiceNow presents ‘The CEO Playbook’. These shows feature exclusive content from creators and publishers, encouraging engagement among LinkedIn’s 1.2 billion members and allowing brands to reach target audiences with contextually relevant content.

Sachin Sharma, Head, LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, India, commented, “AI is reshaping how brands connect with buyers. Younger audiences, in particular, want authenticity and relatability, and B2B marketers know that trust comes from real voices people can identify with. To cut through the noise, they are turning to video for deeper engagement. With BrandLink’s rollout in India, LinkedIn is helping brands work with credible voices to deliver impactful storytelling in formats preferred by target audiences. Ultimately, as AI scales content creation, brands that pair technology with human expertise will win attention and trust in the long run.”

Melissa Arnoldi, Executive Vice President and General Manager of AT&T Business, emphasized their commitment to connecting small business owners with reliable service and inspiring entrepreneurs through the ‘Small Business Builders’ series on LinkedIn.

The report underscores that while AI offers undeniable opportunities – with 86% believing it will help smaller brands compete and 81% predicting it will fuel breakout brands – the focus must remain on authenticity. Seventy-six percent of Indian professionals state that trusted input from colleagues and peers accelerates their decision-making, reinforcing that volume of information does not equate to value without trust.
