Astrix Security Unveils Industry-First AI Agent Control Plane for Enhanced Enterprise AI Security

TLDR: Astrix Security has launched the AI Agent Control Plane (ACP), a groundbreaking solution designed to ensure secure-by-design deployment of AI agents within enterprises. This platform addresses critical security gaps in AI adoption by providing granular control, least-privilege access, and comprehensive visibility over AI agent activities, aiming to mitigate risks like unauthorized access and data leaks.

NEW YORK, September 16, 2025 – Astrix Security, a prominent leader in AI Agent and Non-Human Identity (NHI) security, today announced the release of its pioneering AI Agent Control Plane (ACP). This innovative solution marks the industry’s first dedicated platform to facilitate the secure-by-design deployment of AI agents across enterprise environments, directly confronting the escalating security challenges associated with widespread AI adoption.

The ACP is engineered to provide every AI agent with short-lived, precisely scoped credentials and just-in-time access, adhering strictly to the principles of least privilege. This approach is crucial for eliminating ‘access chaos’ and significantly reducing compliance risks that have emerged with the proliferation of autonomous AI agents.

Alon Jackson, Astrix co-founder and CEO, highlighted the urgency of this development, stating, “Agentic threats are no longer theoretical. Recent studies show 80% of companies have already experienced unintended AI agent actions, from unauthorized system access to data leaks.” He emphasized Astrix’s commitment to responsible technology adoption: “Our mission has always been to help organizations boost productivity and adopt the latest technology responsibly. We listen to our customers and act on this mission by launching ACP today. With ACP, we are giving enterprises the missing piece of the agent security puzzle. Our Discover–Secure–Deploy framework ensures customers can unlock the full value of agentic AI — without introducing uncontrolled risk.”

The ACP completes Astrix’s comprehensive end-to-end AI agent security platform. Existing Astrix customers already leverage the platform for discovering and inventorying ‘shadow AI agents’ and enforcing security guardrails to prevent policy violations. With the addition of ACP, they can now extend their capabilities to secure the deployment phase of AI agents. The integrated ‘Discover–Secure–Deploy’ framework offers a unified and responsible strategy for large-scale adoption of agentic AI, covering homegrown, third-party, and unmanaged ‘shadow’ deployments.

Idan Gour, Astrix co-founder and CTO, underscored the foundational role of access control: “As OWASP stated clearly: ‘NHIs play a key role in agentic AI security’ since they define precisely what your AI agents can and cannot do. To secure agents, you must start with access. And to secure access, you must secure NHIs.”

Key Benefits Delivered by ACP:

Fast and Predictable Audits: The platform ensures clear ownership and tracked activity trails, making every agent action governed and easily validated.

Secure Access for AI Agents: By implementing least-privilege, just-in-time credentials from day one, ACP maintains tight access controls and minimizes risk.

Enhanced Developer Productivity: Policy-driven, pre-approved access profiles enable developers to rapidly deploy AI agents, with streamlined approval processes that reduce delays and maintain workflow efficiency.

How it Works:

Pre-define policies: Security administrators establish granular, least-privilege permission profiles specifically tailored for various AI agent use cases.

Deploy agents: Developers launch AI agents using their preferred tools, applying the appropriate pre-approved permission profile.

Centralized control: Post-deployment, all agents are visible within Astrix’s inventory, complete with their attached policies, allowing for real-time monitoring, management, and necessary adjustments.

This launch positions Astrix Security to address a critical blind spot in enterprise security, as AI agents and NHIs are rapidly outnumbering human employees and often operate outside traditional Identity and Access Management (IAM) frameworks.
