Wu Hequan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, emphasized the significant contribution of AI to global internet traffic, stating that it has accounted for 48 percent of the growth. He further noted that AI is instigating transformative changes in network architecture and predicted a shift in AI development from generative AI to AI agents, ushering the internet sector into the era of AI agents.
Data from the Internet Society of China underscores the widespread adoption of AI within the country, revealing that the user base for generative AI products has reached 249 million, representing 17.7 percent of the total population. This highlights the deep integration of AI across various sectors in China.
The country is also making strides in integrating digital technologies with the real economy. The popularization rate of digital research and design tools in key industry enterprises has reached an impressive 80.1 percent. This integration is significantly enhancing production efficiency and reducing operational costs for businesses.
