Aptus.AI Expands to Luxembourg with Advanced AI-Powered Regulatory Compliance Solution

TLDR: Italian RegTech firm Aptus.AI has officially launched its operations in Luxembourg, a key European financial hub. The company introduces its patented AI compliance tool, designed to transform legal texts into machine-readable data and provide financial institutions with a generative AI assistant for real-time regulatory updates, efficient compliance management, and significant reductions in research time.

Luxembourg, a prominent financial and regulatory innovation hub in Europe, has welcomed Italian RegTech startup Aptus.AI, which officially commenced its operations in the Grand Duchy on Monday, September 15, 2025. The expansion follows a strategic period during which Aptus.AI successfully validated its proprietary technology within Italy’s regulatory compliance sector, serving notable clients such as Intesa Sanpaolo and Generali Investments.

At the core of Aptus.AI’s offering is a patented technology that converts complex legal and regulatory texts into a machine-readable, structured data format, optimized for artificial intelligence (AI) analysis. This foundational technology powers a generative AI assistant specifically developed for legal and compliance teams.

The AI assistant is engineered to deliver ‘instant, accurate and verifiable answers,’ a critical feature that helps avoid the ‘hallucinations and reliability issues’ often associated with generic AI tools. It provides real-time detection and notification of regulatory updates, sending daily email alerts tailored to an organization’s specific areas of interest. Professionals can leverage the platform to quickly navigate thousands of regulations, compare successive versions of legal texts, anticipate regulatory impacts, and efficiently draft legal or compliance documents.

According to the company, the platform has demonstrated an average 60% reduction in compliance research time and minimizes errors, allowing experts to shift their focus from time-consuming tasks to more strategic decision-making. A key assurance from Aptus.AI is that it ‘never uses clients’ confidential data to train its models,’ ensuring maximum security, privacy, and trust.

Andrea Tesei, co-founder and CEO of Aptus.AI, expressed enthusiasm for the move, stating, ‘We are excited to establish our presence in Luxembourg, a market known for its pioneering role in financial services and regulatory innovation.’ He added that Luxembourg, with its high concentration of financial institutions, is ‘the ideal place to show how Aptus.AI can help in-house legal departments and compliance teams turn regulatory challenges into a competitive advantage through AI.’
