ANA Integrates ‘neoAI Chat’ Generative AI Across Aviation Operations for Enhanced Efficiency and Safety

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has officially rolled out ‘neoAI Chat,’ a generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) platform developed by neoAI Corporation, across all its group companies and departments involved in aircraft operations. This comprehensive deployment, which began in October 2025, encompasses critical areas such as airport operations, maintenance, cabin services, and flight operations. The airline’s primary objective is to elevate operational quality, ensure a higher standard of safe and secure services for customers, and foster greater AI literacy among its employees.

The decision for full-scale implementation follows a highly successful trial conducted at Narita Airport in August 2024. The pilot program demonstrated the platform’s effectiveness in improving labor efficiency and supporting timely, accurate decision-making, particularly in an industry where quickly and precisely retrieving information from complex regulations has traditionally been a significant challenge, often relying on individual expertise and lengthy manual searches.

Key benefits of ‘neoAI Chat’ include a remarkable reduction in time spent on manual research and regulation searches, with staff now able to access critical operational data up to 90% faster than conventional methods. Additionally, the system accelerates report generation and the preparation of training materials by approximately 75%, allowing employees to dedicate more time to creative and high-value-added tasks. The platform also enhances customer service responsiveness by providing precise and rapid answers to inquiries, thereby improving overall customer satisfaction. It further aids organizational knowledge transfer by systematically capturing individual expertise for future generations of employees.

Hiroyuki Kometani, Executive Vice President of ANA’s Operation Division, emphasized the transformative impact of this initiative. “Last year, ANA successfully trialled ‘neoAI Chat’ for ground handling at Narita Airport as part of our AI-driven operational transformation initiative,” said Kometani. “Recognising its effectiveness in streamlining aircraft operations and supporting accurate decision-making, we are now fully implementing it across all ANA Group companies and departments involved in aircraft operations. This project will not only enhance employee AI literacy but also significantly improve the quality of aircraft operations and deliver high-quality services to our customers.”
