Alvys Inc., a leading innovator in freight software, has announced the successful closure of a $40 million Series B funding round, propelling its total capital raised to $77 million. The latest investment, spearheaded by RTP Global, also saw significant participation from Alpha Square Group and existing investors including Titanium Ventures, Picus Capital, and Bonfire Ventures. This substantial funding injection follows a $20.5 million Series A round completed in July 2024, underscoring strong investor confidence in Alvys’ vision.
Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Solana Beach, California, Alvys specializes in developing a cloud-based transportation management system (TMS) that embeds artificial intelligence and automation at its core. The platform is designed to serve as an operating system for logistics, streamlining complex freight operations for carriers, brokers, and shippers with private fleets.
According to Nick Darman, founder and CEO of Alvys, the new capital will be instrumental in broadening the platform’s functionality, particularly for large carriers. This expansion will include advanced API integrations, sophisticated analytics tools, and enhanced compliance features. For midmarket fleets aspiring to enterprise scale, the focus will be on accelerating onboarding processes and further integrating automation. Darman emphasized, ‘Our goal is simple: Keep building Alvys to be the most strategic solution for an industry where businesses, teams and individuals can’t afford to waste time. We’re scaling enterprise-grade solutions with AI at the core. That means using AI, automation and integrations to remove wasted steps, give teams smarter decision-making in real time, and help carriers and brokers grow their operations and their profit margins without adding overhead.’
Julius Schwerin, a partner at RTP Global, expressed his firm’s conviction in Alvys’ potential, stating, ‘We invested in Alvys because it combines a best-in-class TMS with the ambition to become logistics’ operating system. Alvys rewires how loads are sourced, dispatched and reconciled. With 120-plus integrations, native electronic data interchange (EDI), and built-in routing, freight companies move more loads with fewer tabs. That’s the blueprint we back.’
Alvys’ platform offers a comprehensive suite of tools, including dispatch and load management, robust data analytics and reporting, an international fuel tax agreement calculator, an EDI tool for standardized business document exchange, and a thorough system for tracking and tracing shipments globally. It also features accounting tools, a search portal for connecting with freight transportation services, and a mobile application for truck drivers to update delivery statuses. The system boasts over 100 integrations with third-party software, such as Samsara, RMIS, DAT, and Motive.
