Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, officially unveiled “Model Studio: Exclusive” at the Indonesia AI Conference 2025. This specialized, enterprise-grade AI development platform is engineered to facilitate the secure deployment of artificial intelligence solutions within hybrid and private cloud infrastructures. The platform is particularly aimed at highly regulated sectors such as finance, healthcare, and public services, where stringent data privacy, security, and compliance standards are paramount.
Model Studio: Exclusive empowers organizations to construct, customize, and deploy large language models (LLMs) and intelligent AI agents entirely within their own secured environments. This strategic approach ensures that businesses can harness the full potential of generative AI capabilities without compromising control over their critical data assets. Alibaba Cloud highlights that users can seamlessly integrate advanced AI models, including Qwen-Max (MoE), Qwen-VL (visual understanding), and the Wan series (video generation), through Model Studio’s purpose-built APIs.
Sean Yuan, Vice President of Alibaba Cloud International and Regional General Manager of South Pacific & Japan, emphasized the platform’s significance, stating, “With Model Studio: Exclusive, we are putting the power of generative AI directly into the hands of enterprises. In an era where trust and compliance are non-negotiable, this platform empowers organizations to innovate responsibly. Whether it’s customizing foundational models or building intelligent AI agents, our customers can now do it all within their secure environments, accelerating their AI transformation with confidence”.
The platform offers a comprehensive suite of tools tailored to enterprise requirements. Key features include precision data parsing for secure LLM training, automated data synthesis combined with quality assurance to optimize workflows, and cross-modality data processing to enhance model performance through Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques.
In addition to the platform launch, Alibaba Cloud also introduced its VISION AI+Design Career Certification. This global program is designed to equip creators, designers, and emerging professionals with essential AI-powered design skills. The VISION curriculum, developed by experts from the Alibaba Cloud Design Innovation Center and Alibaba Cloud Academy, focuses on AI-driven creative workflows, including training on ComfyUI and Alibaba’s advanced visual AI models like Wan.

This launch aligns with Alibaba Group Holding’s broader strategy to expand its AI services globally. The company plans to extend its AI capabilities, including the Qwen family of models and Model Studio, to its overseas data centers this year. This is part of an ambitious 380 billion yuan (US$52.4 billion) investment over the next three years to develop its cloud computing and AI infrastructure, marking the largest computing project financed by a single privately owned company in China.
