TLDR: AIQ and SLB have partnered to deploy AIQ’s ENERGYai solution, an agentic AI tool, across ADNOC’s subsurface operations. This collaboration aims to enhance efficiency and decision-making in areas like seismic interpretation, geology, and reservoir modeling, with initial tests showing significant improvements in speed and precision.
Global energy technology company SLB and AIQ, the Abu Dhabi-based artificial intelligence leader for the energy sector, have announced a strategic partnership to advance the development and deployment of AIQ’s ENERGYai agentic AI solution across ADNOC’s subsurface operations. This initiative, set to commence deployment in the fourth quarter of 2025, marks a significant step towards integrating advanced AI into critical energy workflows.
ENERGYai is a sophisticated AI solution that combines large language model (LLM) technology with cutting-edge agentic AI. It is specifically trained for various workflows within ADNOC’s upstream value chain, aiming to automate complex, high-impact tasks, thereby increasing efficiency, enhancing decision-making, and optimizing production.
Early indications from a test environment, utilizing 15% of ADNOC’s data and focusing on two specific fields, have demonstrated remarkable capabilities. A seismic agent powered by ENERGYai achieved a tenfold increase in the speed of seismic interpretation, alongside a 70% increase in precision. These results highlight the potential for substantial operational improvements.
Under the terms of the partnership, AIQ and SLB will jointly design and deploy new agentic AI workflows across ADNOC’s subsurface operations. This includes critical areas such as geology, seismic explorations, and reservoir modeling. The deployment will be supported by SLB’s Lumi data and AI platform, along with other digital technologies. The Lumi platform is designed to boost productivity and efficiency by enhancing data access, streamlining workflows, and seamlessly scaling AI solutions.
Dennis Jol, CEO of AIQ, commented on the collaboration, stating, “This partnership reflects our vision to harness AI for energy optimization, and we are enthusiastic that SLB shares this outlook. The collaboration between AIQ and SLB enables the development of sophisticated AI workflows that integrate seamlessly with ADNOC’s infrastructure, driving efficiency, scalability, and innovation at every stage of the energy lifecycle.”
Rakesh Jaggi, President, Digital & Integration, SLB, added, “Our collaborations with AIQ have already delivered innovative solutions, and now we are supporting the building of the foundation for the next era of intelligent energy operations together with AIQ’s ENERGYai. This agentic AI solution is set to drive long-term value and operational resilience across ADNOC’s energy value chain.”
