This mid-tier subscription, usually costing Rs 399 per month, offers enhanced capabilities including higher message limits, increased daily image generation and uploads, and extended memory for more personalized responses. Nick Turley, Vice President and Head of ChatGPT, stated, “Ahead of our first DevDay Exchange event in India, we’re making ChatGPT Go freely available for a year to help more people across India access and benefit from advanced AI.” The company also noted that paid ChatGPT subscriptions in India have more than doubled since the initial launch of ChatGPT Go, indicating strong demand. OpenAI has also confirmed plans to establish an office in India by the end of the year.
