San Francisco-based AI startup Olto has announced the successful closure of a $5.1 million pre-seed funding round, co-led by prominent venture capital firms Nexus Venture Partners and The General Partnership. The funding initiative also saw significant participation from Afore Capital, Recall Capital, Ligature, FirstHand, and a group of senior executives with backgrounds at Amazon.
Founded in 2023 by former Amazon executives Kintan Brahmbhatt and Jean-Baptiste Caput, with veteran Amazon engineer Pranav Midha joining as founding engineer, Olto positions itself as an ‘AI demo engineer.’ The company’s core offering is an artificial intelligence-powered demo automation platform designed to transform how B2B teams demonstrate and sell software. Olto aims to eliminate the inefficiencies of traditional manual product demos by generating context-aware demo environments and interactive product tours tailored for each sales opportunity.
According to Kintan Brahmbhatt, CEO and co-founder of Olto, the newly secured capital will be instrumental in building new AI agents for inbound leads and outbound calls, alongside substantial investment in research and development to customize experiences based on each client’s unique needs. Brahmbhatt highlighted the company’s vision, stating, ‘At Amazon, we pioneered just-in-time personalization to change the way consumers engage with media. With Olto, we’re bringing that same magic to B2B software. Every seller gets an expert demo engineer that’s always on, always current, and always tailored to the buyer.’
Abhishek Sharma, Managing Director at Nexus Venture Partners, emphasized the disruptive potential of AI in the B2B sales landscape. ‘AI is upending traditional B2B sales,’ Sharma remarked. ‘Sales teams spend countless hours on manual demo preparation, only to deliver generic experiences that don’t resonate with prospects. Olto’s AI-first approach eliminates this time drain and creates genuinely targeted experiences that lead to faster sales cycles.’
