TLDR: Adobe has launched Firefly Foundry, a new enterprise service designed to help corporations develop and deploy custom generative AI models tailored to their unique brand identity and intellectual property, building upon the existing Firefly technology.
At Adobe MAX 2025, Adobe (Nasdaq:ADBE) unveiled Firefly Foundry, a significant expansion of its generative AI offerings aimed squarely at enterprise clients. This new service enables businesses to collaborate directly with Adobe experts to create highly customized generative AI models, trained on their proprietary data, imagery, and creative assets. The initiative addresses a critical need for large organizations to leverage AI for content creation while ensuring brand consistency, legal clarity, and intellectual property protection.
Firefly Foundry builds upon Adobe’s commercially safe Firefly models, which were initially launched in 2023 and have already facilitated the creation of over 25 billion assets. Unlike generic AI tools, Foundry offers a managed service where Adobe engineers work hand-in-hand with clients to fine-tune these base models. This results in a private, brand-specific version of Firefly that understands a company’s unique products, colors, logos, and tone of voice.
The custom models generated through Firefly Foundry are designed to support a wide array of asset types, including images, video, audio, vector graphics, and 3D content. This versatility allows businesses to accelerate content delivery for diverse applications such as brand campaigns, performance marketing, and media production workflows. The seamless integration of Firefly Foundry models across the Adobe ecosystem, including GenStudio, Creative Cloud, the Firefly App, and Express, further streamlines content production and management.
Hannah Elsakr, vice president of GenAI New Business Ventures at Adobe, emphasized the strategic importance of this offering. “Adobe Firefly Foundry builds on years of Adobe innovation and expertise, spanning generative AI models for image, video, audio, vector and 3D, to help businesses solve today’s most complex content and media production challenges,” Elsakr stated. She further noted that the service is a logical extension of existing enterprise AI products, responding to the demand from businesses for Adobe to act as their premier creative marketing AI partner.
A key advantage of Firefly Foundry is its focus on enterprise-grade governance. The models remain private to each client and incorporate built-in content-tracking metadata for robust IP protection. This directly addresses concerns many enterprise marketing teams have regarding copyright, brand consistency, and control over proprietary assets when using public AI tools. Early partners reportedly include Disney Imagineering and Home Depot, signaling strong industry interest.

Adobe’s pricing model for Firefly Foundry is usage-based, offering greater flexibility compared to traditional per-seat subscriptions for many other Adobe products. This approach aims to empower companies to scale AI-driven content production safely and efficiently, transforming trust into a service and bringing AI out of the lab and into practical workflows.
