TLDR: Actress Priyanka Mohan has publicly addressed the widespread circulation of fake, AI-generated images of herself on social media. She urged the public to cease sharing these misleading visuals and emphasized the importance of using artificial intelligence for ethical creativity rather than for spreading misinformation.
Actress Priyanka Mohan has issued a strong statement condemning the proliferation of digitally altered, AI-generated images falsely depicting her. The controversy gained traction on October 11, 2025, as the actress took to her social media platforms to appeal to fans and social media users to stop sharing these fabricated visuals.
In her statement, Priyanka Mohan explicitly stated, “Some AI-generated images falsely depicting me have been circulating. Please stop sharing or spreading these fake visuals. AI should be used for ethical creativity and not misinformation. Let’s be mindful of what we create and what we share. Thank you.” This plea highlights a growing concern within the entertainment industry regarding the misuse of artificial intelligence to create and disseminate misleading content.
Reports indicate that some of these manipulated images were derived from scenes in her recent Telugu blockbuster, ‘They Call Him OG.’ In the film, which premiered on September 25, 2025, Priyanka Mohan played the significant role of Dr. Kanmani, the wife of Pawan Kalyan’s character, Ojas Gambheera. The action-drama, directed by Sujeeth, also featured a powerful ensemble cast including Emraan Hashmi, Prakash Raj, and Sriya Reddy, and has been lauded as the highest-grossing Telugu film of the year. Miscreants reportedly took an image from the film, enhancing it with AI to create and circulate provocative and obscene fake visuals.

Mohan’s reaction underscores a broader issue of digital ethics, advocating for responsible use of AI technology. Her call for “ethical creativity” over “misinformation” resonates with similar concerns raised by other public figures. Notably, a few weeks prior, actress Sai Pallavi also faced a similar situation when AI-altered images of her in beach attire were circulated, prompting her to issue a note clarifying the authenticity of her own pictures. Priyanka Mohan is currently working on an untitled Tamil film with Kavin, marking her first collaboration with the actor and director Ken Royson.
