TLDR: Singlife, a leading Singaporean financial services company, has partnered with Salesforce to introduce an advanced AI agent, Agentforce, designed to empower its customer service executives. This collaboration marks Singlife as the first insurer in Singapore to adopt this AI-driven platform, aiming to deliver faster, more accurate, and consistent customer support by providing real-time access to extensive product knowledge.
Singapore’s homegrown financial services powerhouse, Singlife, has announced a strategic collaboration with Salesforce, the global leader in AI customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, to launch an innovative AI agent for its customer service executives. This initiative positions Singlife as the inaugural insurer in Singapore to integrate Salesforce’s cutting-edge ‘Agentforce’ technology, an agentic layer of the Salesforce platform, into its operations.
The newly deployed AI agent is engineered to provide Singlife’s customer service teams with immediate access to intelligent, trusted responses for a wide array of product-related inquiries. By leveraging Salesforce’s Data Cloud, a hyperscale data engine, Singlife has ingested its comprehensive knowledge base, encompassing everything from detailed product manuals and training guides to frequently asked questions (FAQs). This integration eliminates the need for manual document searches, enabling service staff to retrieve information almost instantly.
This technological advancement is set to significantly enhance service quality and response times, ultimately improving the overall customer experience. Romil Sharma, Group Head of Technology and Operations at Singlife, emphasized the company’s commitment to AI, stating, “At Singlife, AI is more than just a tool – it is becoming a key part of how we run the business. Collaborating with Salesforce allows us to bring AI into the hands of our customer service executives in a practical way, helping them respond faster and with greater confidence.” Sharma further articulated Singlife’s broader vision, adding, “This AI agent also represents an early step in our broader strategy to harness AI across the company, from customer service to underwriting, claims and distribution.” He concluded, “Ultimately, our aim is to institutionalize AI as a core enabler for business growth, operational excellence and customer-centricity.”
