TLDR: Graph AI, an AI life sciences company, has successfully raised $3 million in seed funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners. The investment will fuel the expansion of its engineering team, accelerate product development, and drive global market adoption for its AI-driven ‘Graph Safety’ platform, which aims to automate and enhance pharmacovigilance in the $8 billion drug safety market.
Graph AI, a California-based AI life sciences firm, announced today it has closed a $3 million seed funding round, spearheaded by Bessemer Venture Partners. This significant investment, confirmed on October 16, 2025, is earmarked to bolster Graph AI’s engineering capabilities, expedite product innovation, and expand its enterprise customer base worldwide, particularly within the critical $8 billion pharmacovigilance market.
Founded in 2024 by Raghav Parvataraju, Vijay Ponukumati, Mohan Konyala, and Ashutosh Bordekar, Graph AI is addressing a long-standing challenge in the pharmaceutical industry. Pharmacovigilance, a regulatory mandate for pharmaceutical companies globally, involves the continuous monitoring, detection, and reporting of adverse drug events (ADEs) throughout a drug’s entire lifecycle, from clinical trials through post-market use, to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Traditionally, this process has been heavily reliant on manual data extraction and analysis from a myriad of unstructured sources, including medical reports, call transcripts, legal filings, literature, emails, and even social media posts. This labor-intensive approach often leads to fragmented, inefficient, and reactive workflows, creating operational silos that hinder timely case processing, signal detection, and regulatory reporting.
Graph AI’s flagship platform, ‘Graph Safety,’ is designed to disrupt these conventional methods by leveraging context-aware artificial intelligence and intelligent automation. The platform provides an end-to-end safety solution, automating key processes such as ADE case processing, signal detection, aggregate reporting, and regulatory compliance. By centralizing safety data and improving accuracy in medical reviews, Graph Safety significantly reduces the need for human intervention to only essential regulatory steps, while maintaining full traceability and audit readiness.
Enterprise clients already utilizing Graph Safety have reported remarkable improvements, including up to 70% efficiency gains and 90% faster regulatory reporting, alongside substantial cost savings. The platform currently supports a pipeline of over 7,000 marketed drugs, demonstrating strong early traction and growing demand for AI-driven pharmacovigilance modernization.
Nithin Kaimal, Partner and COO at Bessemer Venture Partners India, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We’re excited to partner with Graph AI as they redefine labour intensive and inefficient pharmacovigilance workflows through AI-native solutions that prioritize both accuracy and scalability.” Graph AI CEO Raghav Parvataraju articulated the company’s vision: “Our vision is to make patient safety smarter, faster, and more connected, empowering pharmaceutical and biotech enterprises to achieve safer outcomes, stronger regulatory confidence, and exponential efficiency across safety operations.”
