Veritone Secures Key AI Data Refinery Contracts with Hyperscalers, Projects Strong Q3 Revenue Growth Amid Increased Losses

TLDR: Veritone (NASDAQ: VERI) has announced significant contract wins for its Veritone Data Refinery (VDR) solution with leading hyperscalers and venture-backed AI model developers. This has boosted its VDR pipeline and bookings to nearly $40 million, a 100% increase since August 2025. The company also released preliminary unaudited Q3 2025 financial results, projecting revenue between $28.5 million and $28.7 million, a 30.5% increase from Q3 2024. However, the non-GAAP net loss is expected to widen to between $5.5 million and $6.0 million, a 48.2% increase from the prior year.

IRVINE, Calif. – Veritone, Inc. (NASDAQ: VERI), a prominent provider of human-centered enterprise AI solutions, has reported substantial new contract acquisitions for its Veritone Data Refinery (VDR) offering. These agreements involve leading hyperscalers and emerging venture-backed AI model developers, signaling a significant expansion of Veritone’s footprint in the artificial intelligence training data ecosystem. The company’s stock experienced a notable surge of 26.8% in after-hours trading following these announcements.

The Veritone Data Refinery solution, powered by aiWAREâ„¢, is designed to transform vast quantities of proprietary, unstructured data—including video, audio, and text—into actionable, license-ready intelligence. This processed data is crucial for fueling cognitive and generative AI development, addressing the escalating demand for high-quality training data in the rapidly evolving AI economy. Ryan Steelberg, President and CEO of Veritone, emphasized Veritone’s role as a ‘critical partner’ for global hyperscalers and next-generation AI model developers, stating, ‘We believe our VDR solution uniquely positions us to serve this fast-growing market, converting massive volumes of video, audio, and text into centralized license-ready datasets for proprietary applications and external AI model training alike.’ He further added that Veritone is ‘firmly on track to have formalized partnerships with nearly every major hyperscaler by the end of 2025.’

These recent VDR contract successes have propelled Veritone’s near-term VDR pipeline and recent bookings to approximately $40 million, marking a remarkable 100% increase since August 2025. This figure encompasses both commercial and public sector clientele.

In conjunction with the contract news, Veritone also provided preliminary, unaudited financial results for the third quarter of 2025. The company anticipates revenue to fall between $28.5 million and $28.7 million. This projection represents a robust increase of 30.5% at the midpoint compared to the third quarter of 2024. Despite the strong revenue growth, Veritone expects a non-GAAP net loss for Q3 2025 ranging from $5.5 million to $6.0 million. This indicates a 48.2% increase in net loss at the midpoint when compared to the non-GAAP net loss from continuing operations in Q3 2024.
