EY Hanyoung Establishes Integrated AI Hub to Centralize Artificial Intelligence Services Across Key Business Sectors

TLDR: EY Hanyoung, a global accounting and consulting firm, announced on September 26, 2025, the launch of its ‘EY AI Hub.’ This new integrated organization aims to unify and expand AI services across its audit, tax, strategy, and finance departments, maximizing company-wide synergy and enhancing AI solution development for both internal operations and external clients.

Seoul, South Korea – September 26, 2025 – EY Hanyoung, a prominent global accounting and consulting firm, today unveiled the establishment of its ‘EY AI Hub,’ a dedicated organization designed to consolidate and advance artificial intelligence capabilities across its diverse service lines. This strategic move aims to integrate previously independent AI initiatives within the firm’s audit, tax, strategy, and finance sectors into a cohesive, company-wide specialist entity.

The EY AI Hub will operate under a matrix structure, with its core centered on AI consulting. This model will facilitate the expansion of AI services across all institutional sectors, including the audit institutional sector, the tax institutional sector, EY-Parthenon (strategy and financial advisory), and financial services. The primary objective is to centralize AI services and technological expertise, which were previously pursued individually by each business sector, thereby maximizing company-wide synergy and fostering a unified approach to AI innovation.

Key responsibilities of the EY AI Hub will include overseeing research into advanced AI technologies, formulating integrated AI strategies, and managing shared AI infrastructure. This foundational support will enable individual business sectors to plan and execute industry-specific AI solutions more effectively. The new structure is expected to further elevate the firm’s AI service capabilities, leveraging existing strengths within each sector while supporting the development of AI solutions tailored to specific market needs and expertise.

Leadership for the EY AI Hub will fall under the strategic guidance of Lee Bok-han, EY Han Young’s market institutional sector head. Lee Dong-hyun, EY Asia East technology, media, and telecom industry leader, will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the new hub. The EY AI Hub is mandated to support technology strategy, shared infrastructure, global collaboration, and an internal diffusion framework across the entire company.

For external clients, the hub will deliver customized AI transformation (AX) advisory services, addressing various work areas. Internally, it will drive both work efficiency and AI innovation, aiming to embed AI deeply within the organization and bolster the overall competitiveness of its AI-driven services. This initiative aligns with EY’s broader global commitment to AI, which includes a significant investment of $1.4 billion into its ‘EY.ai’ platform, launched in September 2023, to help organizations confidently adopt AI and accelerate work innovation globally. The firm has also invested in tools like EYQ, a Generative AI tool optimized for accounting and consulting work, and EY Helix for large-capacity data analysis in financial fraud control. These investments underscore EY’s long-term vision to leverage AI for enhanced audit quality, improved efficiency, and strategic value creation for its clients worldwide.
