SEOUL, South Korea – Amorepacific has recently made significant strides in AI-driven beauty science, presenting its groundbreaking research at the 34th International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) Congress held in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, from October 14 to 17, 2024. The company’s innovations garnered considerable attention, with one of its key presentations being recognized among the ‘Top 5 Applied Research‘ at the congress.
Lee Jeong Yu’s podium presentation, titled ‘Artificial Tactile Sensory System and High-Precision AI Simulation for Cosmetic Products,’ introduced Amorepacific’s sophisticated artificial intelligence sensory evaluation system, ‘Sensornoidâ„¢.’ This technology leverages digital sensory data to predict the usage experience of final cosmetic products based solely on ingredient formulation data. By integrating Amorepacific’s extensive expertise in human-based cosmetic evaluation with advanced digital technology, Sensornoidâ„¢ significantly reduces the time and cost traditionally associated with sensory research. The system boasts an impressive accuracy of over 90% in predicting the sensory experience of cosmetics compared to conventional human application tests, enabling faster and more effective product development.
In addition to the podium presentation, Amorepacific’s R&I Center also showcased two poster presentations. One notable poster, ‘Innovative AI-Powered Visual Insights for Understanding Facial Skin Aging,’ presented by Park Hyeokgon, introduced the new visual analysis capabilities of the AI-based skin diagnostic system, ‘Dr. AMORE.’ This technology is designed to precisely analyze and visualize various signs of facial skin aging, facilitating the tracking and analysis of the integrated and dynamic skin aging process. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of advanced anti-aging solutions.
