Terra Security Secures $30 Million Series A to Advance AI-Driven Penetration Testing

TLDR: AI startup Terra Security has successfully raised $30 million in a Series A funding round, bringing its total capital to $38 million. The funding, led by Felicis, will fuel the expansion of its AI-driven continuous penetration testing platform, focusing on R&D, U.S. sales, and enhancing AI agent capabilities to address the shortcomings of traditional security testing.

Terra Security, an innovative AI startup specializing in continuous penetration testing, announced today the successful closure of a $30 million Series A funding round. This significant investment boosts the company’s total capital raised since its inception to $38 million, underscoring strong investor confidence in its AI-driven approach to cybersecurity. The Series A round was spearheaded by Felicis, with notable participation from Dell Technologies Capital, SVCI, and existing investors including SYN Ventures, Lama Partners (FXP), and Underscore VC.

Founded in 2024 by CEO Shahar Peled and CTO Gal Malachi, Terra Security has rapidly grown to employ 25 individuals across Israel and the United States. The company has already established a strong market presence, serving several Fortune 100 clients with its advanced offensive security platform.

Just four months prior to this Series A, Terra Security completed a successful Seed round that attracted high-profile private investors. These included Gerhard Eschelbeck, former Google CISO; Ofer Ben-Noon and Ohad Bobrov, founders of Talon Security; Yossi Matias, Google VP of Research; and Charles Tango, Sysco CISO.

According to company statements, the newly secured capital will be strategically deployed to expand research and development efforts in Israel, scale U.S. sales operations, and significantly strengthen the capabilities of its AI agents. A key objective is also to broaden its customer base, further solidifying its position in the cybersecurity market.
