Hush Security Secures $11 Million Seed Funding to Revolutionize Machine Access with Policy-Driven Platform

TLDR: Tel Aviv-based Hush Security has successfully raised $11 million in seed funding, led by Battery Ventures and YL Ventures. The cybersecurity startup is pioneering a ‘secretless,’ policy-driven access platform designed to replace traditional vault-based systems, which are struggling to keep pace with dynamic cloud environments and the proliferation of AI agents. The funding will be used to expand its engineering team, scale global operations, and accelerate market adoption of its innovative solution.

Hush Security, an innovative cybersecurity startup headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel, has announced the successful closure of an $11 million seed funding round. The investment was co-led by prominent venture capital firms Battery Ventures and YL Ventures, signaling strong confidence in Hush’s groundbreaking approach to machine identity and access management. This significant capital injection will fuel the company’s ambitious plans to expand its engineering team, scale global operations, and accelerate the adoption of its ‘secretless,’ policy-driven access platform.

The traditional security landscape, heavily reliant on vaults and static secrets for managing machine identities, is facing unprecedented challenges. As noted by Hush Security CEO and co-founder Micha Rave, “Vaults were built for an era where environments changed slowly and AI was not part of the equation. That era is over. AI agents, ephemeral workloads, and automation have changed the game, and the vault model can’t keep up.” This sentiment is echoed by Gartner, which predicts that 40% of organizations will adopt a secretless approach by 2027, as the conventional secrets access model proves inadequate for today’s dynamic cloud environments and AI-driven workflows.

Hush Security’s platform offers a paradigm shift by replacing legacy vaults and static credentials with just-in-time, policy-driven access controls enforced at runtime. This novel approach eliminates the operational overhead and inherent security risks associated with traditional secrets management. The platform provides comprehensive runtime visibility, posture analysis, and prevention capabilities, enabling enterprises to dynamically enforce least-privileged access. It also leverages frameworks like SPIFFE for secure machine-to-machine communication, further enhancing security and operational efficiency. Micha Rave emphasizes, “We’ve eliminated the need for credentials entirely, introducing a groundbreaking new model for machine access.”

Founded in 2024, Hush Security was established by the experienced team behind Meta Networks, a company acquired by Proofpoint in 2019 for $120 million. This prior success in developing zero-trust network access solutions positions the founders with a deep understanding of modern cybersecurity challenges. The leadership team includes CEO Micha Rave, Chief Customer Officer Chen Nisnkorn, CTO Shmulik Ladkani, and VP of R&D Alon Horowitz.

Despite operating in stealth mode until recently, Hush Security has already garnered significant traction, securing multiple Fortune 500 clients. The company’s platform is designed to protect a wide range of non-human identities, from AI agents to microservices, streamlining compliance and eliminating ‘secret sprawl’ without imposing additional operational burdens or creating security blind spots.
