Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) has taken a significant leap into the future of public service and environmental communication with the launch of its pioneering ‘EAD Avatar’ solution. This cutting-edge, AI-powered initiative is set to revolutionize how the agency interacts with the public, fostering greater engagement and awareness regarding critical environmental issues.

The launch took place during EAD’s participation at the prestigious Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX), held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from August 30 to September 7, 2025. The EAD Avatar project, developed in collaboration with Accord Business Group (ABG), underscores Abu Dhabi’s commitment to digital innovation and sustainability-focused governance, aiming to establish the emirate as a global leader in these fields.

At the heart of this initiative are two carefully designed, lifelike avatars, Souheil (male) and Dana (female), which reflect Emirati culture. These digital representatives are capable of conversing fluently in both Arabic and English. Their interactions are powered by advanced artificial intelligence that draws upon verified and unified information sources, ensuring that public inquiries are met with accurate and reliable responses. This aligns seamlessly with EAD’s overarching mission to advance environmental stewardship across the emirate.

Ahmed Baharoon, Executive Director of Environment Information, Science and Outreach Management at EAD, commented on the launch, stating, “The launch of the EAD Avatar marks a bold step into the future of public service and environmental communication. By merging cultural authenticity with cutting-edge AI, we are enhancing how the community interacts with EAD and transforming how they understand and connect with the environment.
