Dhruv Rathee’s AI Fiesta Launches to Mixed Reviews, Sparks Aggregator Debate

TLDR: Indian YouTuber Dhruv Rathee has launched AI Fiesta, a subscription service offering access to multiple premium AI models for ₹999 per month. While aiming to democratize AI access in India by undercutting individual model costs, the platform is receiving mixed reviews, primarily due to its shared 400,000-token monthly limit across all models and comparisons to existing AI aggregators like T3 Chat, Poe, and Forefront.

Popular Indian YouTuber and educator Dhruv Rathee has officially entered the technology sector with the launch of his first startup, AI Fiesta, on August 17, 2025. The new venture is a subscription-based platform designed to provide users with access to a suite of six premium artificial intelligence models, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Perplexity, and DeepSeek, all for an affordable monthly fee of ₹999.

Rathee’s stated aim with AI Fiesta is to democratize access to advanced AI tools in India, where individual subscriptions to such models can cost upwards of ₹9,600 monthly. He highlighted that his platform significantly undercuts these prices, making AI more accessible to a broader audience, particularly students and users who have been priced out of the global market’s $20-$30 per model subscriptions. A survey conducted by Rathee involving over 500 students reportedly indicated that 70% felt excluded from the AI revolution due to high costs.

However, AI Fiesta has been met with mixed reviews since its launch, drawing significant comparisons to existing AI aggregators. Critics point to the platform’s shared pool of 400,000 tokens per month across all integrated models as a major limitation. While this figure might seem substantial at first glance, heavy users such as developers, educators, and content creators could quickly exhaust this allowance. For instance, a single prompt sent simultaneously to multiple AI models on the platform would consume tokens from this unified pool, leading to rapid depletion.

Industry observers and some in the AI community argue that AI Fiesta does not introduce groundbreaking technology but rather follows an aggregator playbook already established by platforms like Poe, Forefront, and T3 Chat. They suggest that the true differentiator for AI Fiesta is Rathee’s immense reach and influence, with tens of millions of followers, which could significantly mainstream AI adoption in India in a way most startups cannot achieve.

The sustainability of AI Fiesta’s pricing model and its usability for power users remain key questions. The platform also faces competition from other affordable AI offerings, such as OpenAI’s recently launched ChatGPT Go plan in India, priced at ₹399 per month, which offers 10x GPT-5 access. Rathee, however, appears to be betting on ‘volume economics’ – a strategy of lower pricing to achieve larger adoption and network effects, targeting the millions of ‘fence sitters’ who have never paid for AI but might at the ₹999 price point. The ultimate success of AI Fiesta, therefore, hinges on whether it can truly serve as India’s gateway to AI adoption or if it will be perceived as just another aggregator with inherent compromises.
