This year’s edition of the esteemed award, set to take place on September 13 in Montalcino, is specifically dedicated to artificial intelligence, highlighting its growing societal impact.
Majidi is being honored for her pioneering commitment to fostering digital skills among young women, a critical initiative aimed at combating the pervasive gender gap in technology and beyond. The award jury, comprising prominent personalities such as president Donatella Cinelli Colombini, Rosy Bindi, Anselma Dell’Olio, Anna Pesenti, Stefania Rossini, Anna Scafuri, and Daniela Viglione, lauded Majidi for inaugurating ‘a new way of looking at artificial intelligence as a tool for achieving social goals and specifically the growth of women’s prospects.’
Her selection as ‘Prima Donna 2025’ underscores her significant contributions to the AI landscape and women’s empowerment. Just last month, LinkedIn recognized Majidi among the top 200 global voices in AI, a list that includes only four Italians, with Majidi being the sole woman.
