Lendi Group Targets Full AI Integration by Mid-2026, Revolutionizing Mortgage Experience

TLDR: Lendi Group, a prominent Australian mortgage platform, has declared its ambitious goal to become a fully AI-native organization by June 2026. This strategic shift, dubbed ‘Project Aurora,’ aims to embed agentic AI into every workflow, decision, and customer interaction, transforming the $2.26 trillion mortgage market and enhancing both broker productivity and customer experience.

Lendi Group, a leading force in the Australian mortgage sector, has announced a groundbreaking initiative to transition into a fully AI-native enterprise by June 2026. This bold commitment, revealed by CEO and Co-founder David Hyman, signifies a profound shift from being ‘AI-adjacent’ to having agentic AI as the default in every aspect of the business, from internal workflows to customer interactions.

Hyman articulated this vision at a company-wide Town Hall, stating, ‘By June 2026, agentic AI will be the default in every workflow, decision and experience. This is our moment to break away from the pack.’ He emphasized that the future mortgage experience delivered by Lendi Group will be ‘AI-led,’ rather than merely human-assisted by AI, allowing brokers to dedicate more time to building relationships, offering advice, and guiding customers through complex decisions.

This ambitious target builds upon years of sustained AI innovation within the company. Lendi Group has already seen significant success with its existing AI voice and chat agents. For instance, Voxi, an original agent, has reportedly saved the team over 55,000 hours annually by streamlining post-call administration and has boosted customer satisfaction by 20 percent. Similarly, Sam successfully handles 74 percent of after-hours calls for Aussie Home Loans, while Mel facilitates hundreds of appointment bookings each month through customer chats.

To achieve its AI-native status, Lendi Group has invested over 30,000 team hours into a specialized AI project, which Hyman says has provided ‘absolute conviction’ in the company’s direction. The transformation will be powered by the deployment of enterprise-grade tools, including Enterprise ChatGPT, ROVO, Jira, Loom, and Glean. Dedicated expert AI teams will collaborate closely with staff and brokers to automate workflows, develop new agents, and provide comprehensive training through formal programs and flexible learning streams.

Looking ahead, Lendi Group plans to introduce a new wave of agentic tools designed to further enhance broker productivity and add value for customers. These include a ‘Contract Analyser’ that will offer unlimited, free reviews of Contracts of Sale for customers still property shopping, flagging potential risks and unusual clauses. A ‘Property Analyser’ will generate instant reports based on public data, providing insights into local infrastructure, noise levels, school zones, and indicative property values. Additionally, a series of agents will automate parts of the application process for brokers, covering pricing, valuations, follow-ups, and More Information Requests (MIRs).

Despite the extensive integration of AI, Lendi Group maintains that the aim is not job displacement but job evolution. Hyman clarified that ‘Agentifying the mortgage process doesn’t diminish their role – it sharpens it,’ and noted that the company is continuing to hire mortgage brokers in record numbers. Chief Technology Officer Devesh Maheshwari views the nascent agentic AI ecosystem as an opportunity to set new standards for secure, transparent, and enterprise-scale AI operations.

This strategic pivot, internally known as ‘Project Aurora,’ is set to redefine Lendi Group’s operations within Australia’s $2.26 trillion mortgage market. Since its merger with Aussie Home Loans in 2020, Lendi Group has grown its combined mortgage portfolio from $75 billion to over $100 billion, and this AI-led transformation is expected to drive the next phase of growth and innovation.
