This significant investment, made in collaboration with Saudi businessman Hamoud Al-Rumayyan and veteran crypto firm Hub Culture, underscores a strategic move towards establishing an ethical foundation for artificial intelligence development.
D-GN is a decentralized platform designed to deliver highly accurate and ethically sourced training data to the AI market. The initiative directly addresses a critical challenge facing the AI industry: the proliferation of lawsuits stemming from foundational models trained on stolen or unlicensed data. Faisal Al Monai, Chairman of droppGroup, emphasized this point, stating, “Billions of dollars in lawsuits are hitting the AI industry because foundational models have been trained on stolen or unlicensed data.” He further added, “D-GN solves this industrial problem.
