Rune Technologies Secures $24 Million Series A to Revolutionize Military Logistics with AI

TLDR: Rune Technologies, a defense tech innovator, has successfully closed a $24 million Series A funding round. This investment will accelerate the deployment of its flagship AI-enabled predictive software, TyrOS, designed to modernize military logistics by replacing outdated manual systems with intelligent, real-time solutions capable of operating even in contested environments.

Arlington, VA – July 21, 2025 – Rune Technologies, a pioneering company at the forefront of military logistics modernization, today announced it has secured $24 million in Series A funding. This significant capital injection is earmarked to expand the deployment of its cutting-edge AI-enabled predictive software, TyrOS, across the U.S. military, transforming how forces manage their supply chains and operational readiness.

The funding round was led by Human Capital, with notable participation from Pax VC and Washington Harbour Partners. Existing investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, Point72 Ventures, XYZ Venture Capital, and Forward Deployed VC, also reaffirmed their commitment by participating in this round. This Series A follows a successful seed round earlier this year, bringing Rune Technologies’ total funds raised in the past year to over $30 million.

Rune Technologies’ core offering, TyrOS, is an AI-powered platform engineered to revolutionize military logistics. It moves beyond traditional whiteboards and spreadsheets, creating intelligent supply webs that can anticipate needs, optimize resources, and enable distributed operations at machine speed. A key innovation of TyrOS is its ‘edge-first’ architecture, which embeds intelligence directly at the tactical level. This allows the system to function independently and make critical decisions even when connectivity to remote servers is denied or degraded, a crucial capability for modern, contested battlefields.

David Tuttle, Co-Founder and CEO of Rune Technologies, emphasized the company’s mission: “Our mission is to bring military logistics sophistication in line with the prowess of our fighting capabilities. We’ve seen significant demand from across the services for a product that can replace the whiteboards and spreadsheets that are currently used to track logistics operationally. This investment will allow us to accelerate our deployment of TyrOS to sustainers across the joint force.”

The effectiveness of TyrOS has already been validated through successful pilot deployments with the U.S. Army and Marine Corps. Retired Major General Duane Gamble, former Army G4, lauded Rune’s impact, stating, “Rune is solving the perennial problem of anticipating, planning and executing military logistics in dynamic, high-tempo and contested environments. Throughout my 37-year career, military logisticians spent virtually all available time on the science of logistics. TyrOS leverages AI/ML and world-class engineering to do the science, freeing up logisticians and commanders to focus on the art of warfare.”
