San Francisco, CA – 1mind, a pioneering startup in AI-led growth, announced today the successful closure of a $30 million Series A funding round, elevating its total capital raised to $40 million. This significant investment, finalized in November 2025, underscores strong investor confidence in the company’s innovative approach to transforming inbound sales and customer experiences through artificial intelligence.
The Series A round was spearheaded by Battery Ventures, a global technology-focused investment firm with over $13 billion raised since its establishment in 1983. Battery Ventures is known for its strategic investments across various technology sectors, including application software, infrastructure software, consumer technology, and industrial technology, with headquarters in Boston and major offices in Silicon Valley, London, and Israel. Additional investors in this round include Primary Ventures, Wing Venture Capital, Operator Collective, Harmonic Growth Partners, and Success Venture Partners. The funding also saw participation from angel investors associated with prominent companies such as Monday.com, ZoomInfo, Databricks, Box, Gong, Braze, and Verkada.
Founded by Amanda Kahlow, a recognized veteran in sales and marketing technology and former CEO of 6Sense, 1mind is dedicated to creating AI-powered sales agents. Its flagship product, ‘Mindy,’ is an advanced AI sales agent specifically designed to manage inbound customer interactions from initial contact through to closing deals. Mindy’s capabilities extend to qualifying leads, delivering product demonstrations, managing customer objections, and streamlining customer onboarding processes with remarkable accuracy and human-like engagement.
1mind differentiates itself from traditional AI sales tools, which often concentrate on outbound activities like cold emails and calls, by focusing exclusively on inbound sales engagements. Kahlow emphasized this distinction, stating, “I’m not playing in outbound.” She further elaborated on the agent’s role: “Our goal is to truly replicate the human experience across go-to-market when you have intent, when buyers are leaning in: they come to your website, or they’re in a zoom call. She can ride along and be the sales engineer.” Kahlow has even referred to these AI agents as ‘superhumans,’ highlighting their advanced capabilities.
The technology underpinning Mindy integrates advanced large-language models, including those from OpenAI and Google Gemini. A key innovation is 1mind’s use of ‘deterministic AI,’ which provides guardrails to minimize inaccuracies and ensure that Mindy delivers consistent, reliable responses based on ingested corporate sales materials without deviation. If Mindy cannot provide an answer, it is programmed to explicitly state so.
After a year of operations, 1mind has already garnered significant traction, serving over 45 companies, including industry leaders such as HubSpot, ZoomInfo, and Boston Dynamics. Other reports indicate over 30 enterprise clients, including LinkedIn and New Relic, with average contracts reportedly in the six-figure range annually. The company’s success demonstrates its ability to reshape traditional sales models by effectively replacing roles like the sales engineer and customer success representative while maintaining crucial account executive relationships.
