Gwangju, South Korea – Seven innovative companies hailing from the Gwangju region have made a remarkable impact on the global technology scene, sweeping a total of seven Innovation Awards at the highly anticipated International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026. This impressive haul includes one coveted ‘Best of Innovation’ Award and six ‘Innovation Awards’, marking a significant increase of two awards compared to the previous year’s performance. The accolades underscore the burgeoning technological capabilities and creative spirit of Gwangju’s local enterprises, earning them global recognition.
The CES Innovation Awards, presented annually by the U.S. Consumer Technology Association (CTA), celebrate products that exhibit exceptional technology and groundbreaking innovation. These awards are announced in advance of the world’s largest electronics and information technology exhibition, which is set to take place in Las Vegas next January.
Among the distinguished recipients, LBS Tech Co., Ltd. secured the prestigious ‘Best of Innovation’ Award in the ‘Travel & Tourism’ category, marking its second consecutive CES Innovation Award. GhostPass Co., Ltd. also demonstrated consistent excellence, receiving an Innovation Award for the third year in a row. Five other Gwangju-based companies were first-time Innovation Award winners: Innotech Co., Ltd., IndieJ Co., Ltd., Allthetime Co., Ltd., Mindspace Co., Ltd., and DeepScent Co., Ltd.
The Gwangju City Government has expressed strong optimism regarding these achievements, anticipating that they will significantly bolster the global competitiveness of local companies. The city actively supports its CES participants by offering comprehensive assistance, including consulting for Innovation Award applications, global marketing strategies, business matching opportunities, and specialized training aimed at strengthening their overseas expansion capabilities.
